Shades of Grey & a Trip to Block Island

My, what gorgeous weather we are having! The heat wave broke last week and we are finally enjoying beautiful days and nights. This past weekend, Mr. Flattery and I took a trip to Block Island, off the coast of Rhode Island.  This amazing little island offers something for everyone - and we did it all! From relaxing on the beach at Ballards Inn to riding mopeds along the coast, we certainly packed a lot into our one-day-trip.  One thing I find challenging when taking a day trip (especially one involving a ferry) is what to wear for the day. "The forecast says 80 degrees, but will it be cooler on the ocean? What if it rains? Will I need a hat?" When preparing for a day trip, these "grey areas" can certainly throw me for a loop. So, I decided to just go with it and pack a lot of grey!

Armani Exchange at Northshore Mall has so many gorgeous shades of grey this season! I absolutely love walking in there to see all of the feminine dresses and skirts. They also have fabulous customer service. Shout out to Pedro, the store manager at Armani Exchange, Northshore Mall. He was so wonderful to work with while choosing my outfits!

I also stopped by Apricot Lane at Northshore Mall before my journey to Block Island to pick up some fun accessories! Have you visited this adorable boutique yet? If you haven't it is a MUST! The idea behind this store is "localized boutique shopping." When I walked in, I no longer felt like I was in a mall at all. Fun dresses, shoes, and accessories fill the store. I can't believe I hadn't gone in before, but I sure will be going back. Apricot Lane had the perfect grey accessories for my day trip!
