Peabody Veterans Memorial High School baseball didn’t get selected for the Division 1A MIAA tournament, but the Tanners will have the honor of being the number 1 seed in the North Division 1 tourney.
Peabody, which finished the regular season at 17-5, has a first-round bye. The Tanners will take on the winner of Andover/Malden Catholic, which play on Thursday, in the quarterfinals.
Peabody’s quarterfinal game will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Peabody.
