PHOTOS: Race for Progeria Research Sees Record Turnout

Hundreds came down for the 11th annual road race to help support the Progeria Research Foundation on Saturday.

Hundreds of runners and walkers gathered in front of Saturday morning to stride out for a cure to a delibitating childhood disease -- progeria.

, which is in its 11th year, is sponsored by the , which is based out of Peabody.

The winners of the day's 5K road race for both men and women were Peabody residents Dan Vassallo (1st overall, 17:37) and Nancy Hathaway (9th overall, 20:24).
