The Peabody Softball team took down Swampscott in the D-16 Championship game this past Saturday, winning 11-2 at Wyoma's Lynn Woods Field, according to the Lynn Item.
This is the second year in a row that the Peabody team has won the championship game in the 16th district.
Peabody will go on to play the winner of the District 7 and 13 championship games at the sectionals on July 6, at 2 p.m.
