Three Higgins Middle School Students Perform at State Festival

Three Higgins Middle School Band members were recently selected to perform at the 42nd Annual Mass. Music Educators' Assoc. Northeastern Junior District Festival.

Gabe Goldman, Drums; Neil Sherman, Trombone; and Joey Montalto, Clarinet, all seventh grade students at the Higgins, performed in the concerts held on Saturday, March 15 at Lowell High School. Students spent three days rehearsing before the culminating concert.

Goldman and Sherman were selected to the first ever Junior District Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Aaron Bush, director of Middle School Bands for the Needham Public Schools. Montalto performed with the Concert Band, under the direction of Casey Goodwin, director of athletic bands at the University of New Hampshire.
