Youngsters at the Center School did all that and more during the school's annual walk-a-thon.

Each student lapped the building six times, or at least gave it his or her best shot Wednesday morning during the annual walk-a-thon. There were six stations and walkers were instructed to power walk, gallop or zig zag and more on to the next stop.

The event was sponsored by  and , which donated money earlier in the year toward school field trips. Jodi Landry, one of the parent organizers, said the money raised from the walk-a-thon helps support three field trips per grade per year.

This year, students visited the John Hancock Hall, the maple syrup farm at the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary in Topsfield and the Franklin Zoo.
