Woman Allegedly Stole Cash from Hotel Office

The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log from July 10-11.

Thursday, July 11

  • 8:42 p.m. police assisted the fire department with a car fire on Route 128 Southbound. State police and fire responded.
  • 9:36 p.m. a caller reported trash in the street on Lowell Street. The Department of Public Works was notified. 
  • 10:44 p.m. a caller reported credit card fraud on Andover Street. A caller reported that someone stole her Mastercard and used it Walgreens and Macy's.

Friday, July 12

  • 1:44 a.m. a caller reported a domestic argument on Winnegance Avenue. 
  • 2:39 a.m. an officer reports graffiti on property at 8 Bourbon Street. The officer said the tags were "Raid" and "Slick."
  • 8 a.m. a caller reported that someone was assaulted on Gaetas Shell & Citgo. 
  • 8:56 p.m. a caller reported that someone tried to steal money from the office at the Plaza Motel on Route 1. Police arrested Laura Ann DelMedico, 31, of 26 Tufts St., Apt. 1, Charlestown. DelMedico was charged with disorderly conduct, destruction of property over $250 and attempting to commit a crime. 
  • 12:35 p.m. a minor motor vehicle accident was reported on Central Street. 
  • 1:39 p.m. a caller reported wires that were torn down by a truck on Spring Street Court. 
  • 2:08 p.m. a caller reported a hit and run accident in the parking lot of Bagel World Bakery on Sylvan Street.
