Police Say This Female May Have Stolen $100K in Goods From Area Malls

Police are investigating a series of shoplifting incidents and are asking for the public's help in identifying a female likely involved in the case.

Peabody police are looking for a female they believe is connected to a recent spree of shoplifting incidents in which more than $100,000 in merchandise was stolen from different area malls.

Police are asking the public's help in identifying the young-looking female in the photos attached to this story.

Police say the thefts have occurred in at least three different jurisdictions within Massachusetts as well as New Hampshire. Those thefts include multiple incidents in the past few months at stores in the Northshore Mall.

A press release from Peabody Police Detective Michael Crane did not specify which stores were hit at the mall; however, Victoria's Secret has been victim to multiple thefts this summer, amounting to thousands of dollars lost in women's underwear, according to police log entries.

The female in question is described as a person of interest or possibly a suspect in the shoplifting thefts.

Anyone with information on the identity of the female is asked to call Detective Ralph Scopa at 978-538-6324. Anonymous tips can also be sent in via the Tip411 tool on the department's website.
