Police Log: Teen Charged With Shoplifting at Sears

Sunday, March 16
At 4:08 p.m., police notified the Department of Public Services about a pothole near the Peabody Police Department driveway.
At 4:35 p.m., police arrested Stephen Yescalis, 46, 8 Aberdeen Ave., Peabody, and charged him with domestic assault and battery.
At 6:11 p.m., police arrested a 17-year-old and charged her with shoplifting less than $100 and trespassing. Police made the arrest after a report of a shoplifter at Sears. She was given a no trespass order until 2019.

At 6:37 p.m., police responded to The Cheesecake Factory after an employee hit another employee in the head with a pair of tongs. Police spoke to management, which said it would handle the matter internally.

Monday, March 17
At 12:39 a.m., a Hancock Street resident reported a vehicle’s window was smashed.
At 6:12 a.m., a Ledgewood Way resident reported that a sunroof was smashed. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.
At 10:49 a.m., a Patricia Road resident reported finding a stray Lab mix over the weekend.
At 12:52 p.m., a Franklin Street resident reported a raccoon on a porch. Police arrived and found the raccoon was healthy. It left the area.
