Police Log: Peabody Woman Charged with Driving While Under the Influence of Drugs

Friday, June 20

At 2:10 p.m., police summonsed a 36-year-old Peabody woman to court and charged her with assault and battery.

At 2:55 p.m., police summonsed a 24-year-old Stoneham woman to court and charged her with violating an abuse prevention order.

At 4:23 p.m., a Peabody resident reported that an ex-boyfriend stole her ATM card and took $360 out of her bank account.

At 6:08 p.m., police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle on Andover Street. There were no reported injuries.

At 8:52 p.m., police arrested Megan E. Malewicki, 23, 5 Arielle Lane, Peabody, and charged her with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and possessing a Class C drug, and John James Copley, 23, 10 Tanners Court, Peabody, and charged him with possessing a Class C drug. Police made the arrests after a report of a driver swerving and crossing the double lines on Lynn Street.

At 11:25 p.m., police arrested Brian A. Barnes, 46, 4 Rogers Road, Peabody, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

 

Saturday, June 21

At 8:32 a.m., police summonsed a 28-year-old Beverly resident to court and charged her with larceny more than $250. Police summonsed the woman after a report of a fare dispute involving a cab driver on Tremont Street.

At 3:17 p.m., police arrested Christopher L. Amado, 27, 27 Pulaski St., Peabody, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Elginwood Road.

At 5:36 p.m., police received a call after a pocketbook was taken from Temple Beth Shalom. The pocketbook contained a cell phone, identification and credit cards.

 

Sunday, June 22

At 12:49 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident on Johnson Street. There were no reported injuries. One vehicle was towed.
