Police Log: Officers Arrest Repeat Drunk Driver
Sunday, June 22
At 2:05 p.m., police arrested Freddy Jose Caputovalerio, 23, 49 Gaston St., Methuen, and charged him on two counts of shoplifting by concealing merchandise and one count of possessing a burglarious instrument. Police made the arrest after a report of a shoplifter at H&M.
At 3:37 p.m., police arrested Iliria Piku, 49, 767 Lowell St., Peabody, and charged the person on a probation warrant.
At 5 p.m., an officer responded to Tara Road after a duckling became stuck in a sewer grate. Police called the Fire Department to bring the proper tools to rescue the duckling.

At 5:05 p.m., police responded to Gardner Street after a large water break and roadway buckled. Police notified the Department of Public Services.
At 5:18 p.m., police arrested Donnie H. Brooks, 40, 170 Bowen St., Apt. 2, South Boston, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor (second offense). Police made the arrest after a report of a man driving backward down Hotel Road. He was reportedly having trouble getting the car into drive.

Monday, June 23
At 1:06 a.m., police summonsed a 24-year-old Salem woman to court and charged her on a warrant for a signal/sign/marking violation and refusing to produce a license/registration/plates. Police summonsed the woman during a traffic stop on Main Street.
At 10:42 a.m., a landlord on Central Street reported a tenant threw cream cheese and cat feces all over the rugs.
