Police Log: Driver Taken to Hospital After Striking a Tree

Tuesday, June 10

At 3:21 p.m., a J.C. Penney employee reported a shoplifter tried to steal two pairs of sunglasses. The store handled the matter.

At 5:07 p.m., police responded to Lynnfield Street and Johnson Avenue about a person firing BBs. Police did not locate anyone shooting BBs.

At 5:42 p.m., a Central Street employee reported children playing on scooters who were striking cars. Police found two children playing Frisbee and they were not near cars.

At 5:52 p.m., police received a call about two missing rings from Brooksby Village Drive. Police took a report.

Wednesday, June 11

At 8:22 a.m., a Walgreens employee reported a past shoplifting. A customer reportedly stole a gift card from the Peabody and Salem Walgreens.

At 8:51 a.m., police responded to Intervale Avenue after a driver struck a tree. The driver was taken to Salem Hospital.

At 11:33 a.m., police received a call from Puritan Lawn Cemetery after a vandal smashed windows in a John Deer tractor.

At 12:27 p.m., police arrested Wendy L. Boulay, 41, 533 Mamoth Road, Apt. 3, Londonderry, NH, and charged her with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failing to stop/yield and failing to wear a seat belt. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Andover Street.
