Police Log: Brooklyn Woman Charged With Shoplifting

Thursday, June 12

At 3:18 p.m., police arrested Marquita Chavona George, 21, 52 Argyle Road, Brooklyn, NY, and charged her with shoplifting more than $100 by asportation. Police made the arrest after a report of a shoplifter at H&M.

At 3:44 p.m., police received a call about two youths shooting rifles at squirrels in the woods on Quarry Terrace. Police spoke to the youths and “were advised to use better judgment.”

At 3:51 p.m., a Nordstrom employee reported someone stole more than $1,000 worth of merchandise. There are no suspects.

At 6:51 p.m., police summonsed a 25-year-old Peabody man to court and charged him with threatening to commit a crime and malicious damage to a motor vehicle. Police summonsed the man after a motor vehicle was vandalized at the Northshore Mall.

Friday, June 13

At 11:29 a.m., a CVS Pharmacy employee reported an attempted shoplifting. Someone tried to steal seven packages of razor blades valued at $210. The suspect was described as a male, about 50 years old, who was wearing jeans, a black jacket, a baseball hat and white sneakers.

At 1:09 p.m., police placed a 39-year-old homeless woman into protective custody after a report of an intoxicated person on Lynnfield Street.
