Peabody Police Begin 20th Year of Holiday Toy Drive

The department's annual toy drive benefits local families who may not have the resources otherwise to buy presents for their kids.

Twenty years and still running strong. The Peabody Police Department announced earlier this week it has commenced its annual holiday toy drive.

Since 1992 the Police Department has partnered with local Peabody agencies working to assist less fortunate families during the holiday season. Donations of new, unwrapped toys can be deposited in a collection box located in the lobby of the police station at 6 Allens Ln.

The collection box will be out until Dec. 21. Police say the toy drive has been a great success in years past and positively affected local families that experience difficulties during the holiday season.
