Man Charged With Kidnapping After Female Forced Into Car
A 26-year-old Melrose man was charged with kidnapping, domestic assault and intimidating a witness after an incident at a Peabody hotel.
Police arrested a 26-year-old Melrose man Saturday night and charged him with kidnapping a female from a Peabody hotel.
The incident was reported to police at approximately 10:43 p.m. by a person at the Extended Stay America Hotel on Jubilee Drive in Peabody.
The caller reportedly witnessed a female friend being forced into a gray Ford Taurus in the parking lot.
Peabody police identified the vehicle as a gray 2003 Ford Taurus with Massachusetts plates and put out an alert to area departments to watch for the car.
Wakefield police then reported they had the car stopped in their town at a McDonald's on Main Street.
Kyle R. Colantuoni, 26, of Melrose, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery, intimidating a witness and kidnapping.
