Career Criminal Denied Parole at Age 70

A man who has a criminal record dating back to 1961 was denied parole recently.

An inmate at Bridgewater Hospital who has been charged in 60 different criminal cases was sentenced to a life term after robbing a Peabody pharmacy roughly 15 years ago. He was recently denied parole, according to an article in the Salem News.  

A Salem Superior court judge sentenced Stephen Blaney to life in prison because of his horrendous criminal record. 

"It is clear Mr. Blaney will go on committing crime for as long as he is able to,” Judge Howard Whitehead said after sentencing Blaney for the robbery. 

Since beginning his prison term in 1998, Blaney is accused of forging stationary from the Parole Board, governor's office and Essex County District Attorney's office in order to get released from prison.
