Obituary: Robert W. Newcomb, 61, Peabody Native

Obituary from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home:

Robert W. Newcomb, 61, of Exeter, NH, beloved husband of Diane (Choquette) Newcomb of Exeter, died peacefully on Wednesday March 5, 2014 at the VA Medical Center Hospital in White River Junction, VT, following an extended illness.

Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Robert W. Newcomb, Sr. and Marion (Wing) Newcomb. He grew up in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School.

He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Newcomb was a Truck Driver with New Penn Trucking Company based in Boston and New Hampshire, and drove the large 18-wheel rigs.

He is survived by his wife Diane of Exeter, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage;  three sons, Sean Newcomb of Florida, Rob Newcomb of Lynn, and Scott Newcomb of Dover, NH; a daughter Angel Newcomb of NH;  three grandchildren; two brothers, Chester Newcomb and Roger Newcomb, both of Florida; a sister Deb Kimbrough of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.

After cremation, relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Friday from 11 a.m. to noon in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at noon in the funeral home. Urn burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
