Obituary: Brian J. McCormack, 52, of Peabody

Brian J. McCormack, 52, of Peabody, died unexpectedly while battling cancer on May 4, 2014 at his home in Peabody.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Martin and Ann (Matvichuk) McCormack. He was raised and educated in Salem and received his GED while in the U.S. Army.

Brian was employed in the past at Salem State University in the maintenance department. After his employment with Salem State, he worked for several oil companies doing HVAC and oil burner work. 

Brian enjoyed deep sea fishing, was an avid reader and fan of both the Red Sox and Patriots and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Surviving him are his brother, David McCormack and his wife Sarah of Marblehead, his four sisters, Brenda Bouchard and her husband Russell of Laurens, SC, Bonnie McGinn and her husband David of Ocala, FL, Cheryl Wolseley and her husband Christopher of Winthrop and Pamela St. Amand and her husband Charles of Pepperell and also his nieces and nephews, Lee Fernandez, Amy Manley, Kathleen and Lauren Bouchard, Kristen, Ryan and Emily St. Amand and Flynn, Kyle, Eryn and Corey McCormack, his great niece and nephew Lily and Max Manley, his godmother Carol Nash and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
