5 Things You Need to Know Today, Sept. 25

Today is Tuesday, Sept. 25. Here are five things to know today in Peabody.

  1. Today's weather: Sunny with a high near 73 degrees.
  2. The folks at General Electric are breaking ground today on a new project over at the Inn Between shelter on Holten Street. GE is helping build a new equipment shed on the property. The emergency shelter is run by Citizens for Adequate Housing. A ceremony with Mayor Ted Bettencourt and city councilor Tom Gould will be held at 3 p.m. at 25 Holten St.
  3. Today's sports: The Peabody High golf club is scheduled to host Danvers (4 p.m.) at The Meadow.
  4. Tomorrow's sports: Peabody soccer is scheduled to take on Beverly again (they played Saturday as well) with the girls on the road and the boys at home. Both games are set for 3:45 p.m.
