Peabody's 29th Annual Holiday Festival was held Sunday at City Hall. Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived by Peabody Tower 1 promptly at 4 p.m. to kick off the festivities and join Mayor Ted Bettencourt for the countdown to light the city's 30-foot Christmas tree.
Once the tree was lit, the crowd flowed upstairs to Wiggin Auditorium for Christmas carols performed by Peabody Veterans Memorial High School's Full House A Cappella group before the youngsters lined up to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
