5 Things You Need to Know Today, Nov. 7

The election is over.

Today is Wednesday, Nov. 7. Here are five things to know today in Peabody.

  1. If you didn't stay up late last night to follow all the election results that affect you in Massachusetts, we've got it all covered. Take a few minutes this morning to catch up.
  2. Don't forget there are free playgroups today over at the Family Engagement Center.
  3. Bishop Fenwick volleyball was knocked from the tournament last night by Weston. The Crusaders fell, 3-0, to end season at 17-5, and girls' soccer likewise saw its tournament run come to an end yesterday at the hands of Newburyport, 4-0.
  4. Club LEGO anyone? The Children's Room at the Main Branch Library is hosting an afternoon of LEGO building fun Thursday from 3:30-4:30 p.m., geared toward ages six and older. Staff supply the LEGOs, you supply the creativity. Kids' creations will be on display in the Children's Room. Call to reserve a spot in the program -- 978-531-0100 ext. 29.
  5. There's a spaghetti dinner night on Friday to benefit the Giving Hope Foundation.
