Two New Firms Lease Former Boston Acoustics HQ

A division of Thermo-Fisher Scientific and International Transportation Group are taking up residence in the city's signature business park.

In case you missed it, Centennial Industrial Park did recently get a couple new noteworthy tenants earlier this year, although US Foods is still planning on departing as of last report.

The former Boston Acoustics headquarters at 300 Jubilee Dr. will now be home to Doe & Ingalls, a division of Thermo-Fisher Scientific, and International Transportation Group (ITG).

Doe & Ingalls is a chemical distributor and supply chain services provider and has a 10-year lease for 56,600 square feet of the building. ITG, a logistics services provider, has a five-year lease for 35,307 square feet.

The new tenants were announced this summer by Brookwood Financial Partners. The Beverly-based firm purchased the property in 2009 for $8 million and extended a two-year lease at that time to Boston Acoustics as part of the deal.

According to city records, the property is valued at $10.2 million and the gross building area is 163,000 square feet. The land is zoned as a Designated Development District.

Two new mixed-use commercial buildings are also planned over on First Avenue.
