Scosso Opens Just in Time for Black Friday Crowds

The Italian eatery and martini bar is located between H&M and Forever 21, occupying the vacant space left by Bertucci's when it closed in 2009.

The newest addition to the restaurant scene at the Northshore Mall is now open.

The mall says Scosso Ristorante & Martini Bar opened Friday. The Italian eatery is located between H&M and Forever 21, occupying the vacant space left by Bertucci's when it closed in 2009.

Scosso is the creation of Anthony Cavallo, the president of North Shore Food Group, LLC and owner of Venetian Moon Ristorante in Reading. Cavallo said the new restaurant would be similar in style to the Reading establishment.

Scosso has a full bar and seating for 200 inside over two levels, as Bertucci's did, plus 30 seats outdoors for seasonal dining.

Cavallo received a full liquor license from the city this past summer and began renovations mainly to create a new exterior storefront and entranceway for direct access to Scosso from outside the building, plus the outdoor patio.

Cavallo originally planned to open by mid September, but only just received his permanent occupancy permit from the Building Commissioner's office on Wednesday.

Hours at Scosso are 11 a.m. - 1 a.m. daily. Visit www.scosso.com for menus and more information.
