Mall Welcomes New Slate of Stores By This Summer

Brow Art, G2 Salon, LEGO, crewcuts, Thai Grille and Container Store coming soon.

Shoppers at the can expect yet another round of new stores to peruse along with ethnic cuisine by this summer.

Simon Property Group, which operates the mall, announced this week that the mall will be welcoming four new stores: Brow Art, G2 Salon, LEGO and crewcuts by J. Crew along with a new restaurant Thai Grille at the Food Court. Additionally, the at the front corner of the mall .

“We are proud to add new choices for shoppers at Northshore Mall,” said Joe Barilla, Leasing Representative at Simon Property Group. “With the addition of these retailers, we continue to offer North Shore area shoppers an assortment of stores, services and restaurants that have something for every member of the family.”

crewcuts by J. Crew, which is geared toward children -- clothing, shoes and accessories for boys, girls and babies, opened Friday.

The LEGO store opens next month -- LEGO enthusiasts of all ages can look forward to a grand opening scheduled for the weekend of May 25. Simon says that to help celebrate the event, a life size Sponge Bob Square Pants will be built in the court where the new store will be located.

Brow Art, which currently operates as a kiosk in the mall, will open in its own storefront in late May in the wing. The name is indicative of the service provided -- eyebrow threading, which is an ancient method of removing hair quickly and efficiently.

G2 Salon, a full-service salon and spa, is now open near Legal Sea Foods and Joe's American Bar & Grille.

Thai Grille plans to open in June in the Food Court, offering traditional Thai cuisine with a mix of American and Asian fusion.

The Container Store plans to open its third Massachusetts location this summer as well with a 25,000-square-foot store at the space previously occupied by Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse.

An announcement late last year said the new store will stock more than 10,000 products to help customers save space and time. The store layout is divided into lifestyle sections marked with brightly colored banners such as Closet, Kitchen, Office and Laundry.
