Check Out These Job Openings With the Peabody Public Schools

The Peabody Public Schools are still hiring for a number of non-teaching positions for the new school year.

Those jobs range from teacher aides to a security monitor and athletics coach.

The following qualifications are required for all paraprofessional positions in the district:

  • Associate's degree or completion of 48 credit hours at an institution of higher education or completion of one of the formal standardized tests: Parapro or Workkeys (minimum)
  • Experience working in a school setting or related area
  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents and school staff
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent service skills assisting students, school staff and parents
  • Must pass Massachusetts criminal background check
Daily on-call substitute teachers are also needed. You must have at least a bachelor's degree to apply. Stop by the Human Resources office at the Kiley School (21 Johnson St.) to fill out the required paperwork and bring two forms of ID with you as well as a copy of college transcripts.

There's also an opening for a coach of the freshman field hockey squad at Peabody High. Apply by Sept. 3 to PVMHS Athletic Director Phil Sheridan at 495 Lowell St., Peabody. Submit a resume, cover letter and qualifications to the HR office or email them to mccarthyb@peabody.k12.ma.us.
