1. Overnight Snow Not Expected to Accumulate: Last night's forecast was calling for snow before 1 a.m., switching to rain and snow from 1-4 a.m. and becoming rain after 4 a.m. Winds could have gusted as high as 50 mph.

2. Weather Watch: Speaking of the weather, here's the forecast: Rain. High near 46. Very windy, with a east wind 30 to 40 mph decreasing to 13 to 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

3. Girl Scout Cookies Are Here!: Girl Scout cookie sales have started. They'll be on sale at the Post Office on Essex Drive on Saturday from 1-3 p.m. and at the Stop & Shop on Howley on Sunday from 2-4 p.m.

4. Coach Heil Closes in on 500: Tonight, Peabody High School girls basketball coach Jane Heil will go for her 500th career win as the Lady Tanners take on Everett in an away game.
