PEABODY STUDENTS TO APPEAR IN STONEHAM THEATRE'S SUMMER FESTIVAL

Five Peabody students will be appearing in Stoneham Theatre’s young company Summer Festival 2013.  Stoneham Theatre’s young company offers year-round theatrical training and performing opportunities for children ages 7 – 18.  This year’s Summer Festival will showcase five musicals and one play:  Starmites Lite, Bye, Bye Birdie, The Wiz, Jekyll & Hyde, Bernarda Alba, and The Handless Maiden

Caroline Castro will appear in Starmites Lite, a musical about a girl who is thrust into the world of her favorite sci-fi comic book.  Bianca Baldassaro can be seen in the classic 1960s musical, Bye, Bye Birdie, about an Elvis-like, teen superstar who turns a small town in Ohio upside-down.  Jekyll & Hyde, a musical retelling of the classic story about a doctor whose experiments create a murderous counterpart, will feature Becky Jo Roland.  And Dana Sheridan and Leandra Romano will appear in an adaptation of Grimm’s fairy tale, The Handless Maiden

Stoneham Theatre’s young company Summer Festival runs from August 8, 2013 through August 18, 2013.  Tickets for adults are $15.  Student tickets are $10.  For more information, call the Stoneham Theatre Box Office at (781) 279-2200, or visit www.stonehamtheatre.org
