Gravel to Kick Off Campaign for State Rep Jan. 25

The Committee to Elect David Gravel is hosting an event on Friday, Jan. 25 to kick-off City Councilor Dave Gravel's campaign for State Representative in the upcoming Special Election. 

Dave Gravel has been elected to serve the people of Peabody for over 13 years. He has served as a City Councilor at Large since 2007 and was elected Council President in 2010. He also served on the Peabody School Committee from 1995 to 2003. He has been a member of many city committees and currently serves on Mayor Bettencourt's Economic Development Committee to revitalize the local economy.

Gravel was a recipient of the Harry Ankeles Award for his decades of volunteer service to the many community groups and organizations including his work with the Peabody Education Foundation, the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce and the Peabody/Lynnfield YMCA.

Raised in Peabody, Dave Gravel is one of six children and a product of the Peabody public school system. He graduated from Salem State College in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in English and from Babson College in 1984 with a MBA in finance and information systems. Dave is founder and CEO of GraVoc Associates, Inc., a technology consulting firm based in Peabody and is active with the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce.
