Firefighters Douse Flaming Vehicle on Route 128
The Friday morning commute experienced a bit of an extra delay when a vehicle ended up covered in flames around 5:20 a.m.
Peabody firefighters doused a flaming vehicle Friday morning on Route 128 North where it splits with I-95 North.
According to scanner reports, firefighters responded to the scene around 5:20 a.m. along with state police to find the vehicle engulfed in flames. Within 25 minutes, the fire was knocked down.
No injuries were reported and the rightmost travel lane was closed temporarily. A sander was called to the scene, as the road way was icing up.
