What You Need to Know for Thanksgiving Day Football: Peabody at Saugus

Planning to take in Thursday's pigskin showdown between Peabody and Saugus?

The Tanners visit the Sachems on the gridiron for the 67th time Thursday morning, looking for some redemption after last year's 43-0 loss at home.

Here are five things you should know about the big game.

  1. Kickoff is slated for 10 a.m. Thursday.
  2. The Sachems play at Stackpole Field, located at 82 Appleton St. in Saugus. If you’re heading down from Peabody, take Route 1 South to the Main Street exit for Saugus and head toward Saugus Center. Go past the high school, through a set of lights to Summer Street on the left (there’s a church on the corner). The field is at the end of Summer Street.
  3. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students. You can purchase tickets at the gate on Thursday and/or contact the Saugus High School Athletics Department for more information at 781-231-5027 ext. 1114.
  4. Peabody leads the all-time series, 39-27.
  5. The Tanners last won the trophy in 2011 and before that in 2005.
