Rescheduled Spring Cleanup is on Saturday

A reminder that the Peabody Pride in Motion spring cleanup is on Saturday, May 31.

Volunteers can arrive at City Hall at 9 a.m. to pick up cleaning supplies and then fan out to targeted areas throughout Peabody.

A pizza lunch will be served to volunteers following the cleanup and volunteers will receive a commemorative Peabody Pride in Motion water bottle.

Peabody Mayor Ted Bettencourt created Peabody Pride in Motion to "reignite citizen participation and community spirit."

“Last spring we had over 300 people come out and help improve the city they love,” Bettencourt said. “It is a great feeling to give something back to your community especially when the results – cleaner streets, sidewalks and parks – are on display for all to see.”

The original spring cleanup this year was postponed to May 31 because of rain.
