Two Men Arraigned for Armed Robbery Likely to Face Grand Jury

Police say the "firearm" used in the robbery appears to be a pellet gun.

Dennis Porter, 43, of Lynn, is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Peabody District Court for armed robbery. Glenn Roderick, 41, of Peabody, was already arraigned on that same charge on Tuesday. Police Investigate Whether Suspects Also Robbed Salem 7-Eleven

Salem police detectives are investigating the possibility that the key suspect in an armed robbery in Peabody was the same man who held up a 7-Eleven in Salem on Nov. 16.

Salem police say they are looking at a Peabody man arrested Monday in connection to an armed robbery as a possible suspect in a similar robbery Nov. 16 at a convenience store in Salem. The description of the suspect in Sunday night's robbery at Town Variety in Peabody -- a white male in his 40s, who was dressed in a dark plaid green jacket, black winter hat and jeans and wielding a small black handgun -- appears to match exactly this surveillance image taken during the armed robbery at a 7-Eleven in Salem. Salem Police Capt. Thomas Griffin said Tuesday that detectives Brian St. Pierre and Dennis Gaudet have been working closely with Peabody police since early Monday morning and are "taking a very close look" at whether the two robberies …
