18-Year-Old Shot Multiple Times in Washington Street Apartment
A young Peabody man was taken to Salem Hospital for treatment of the injuries.
Police say an 18-year-old Peabody man was shot multiple times on Thursday night. Police, responding to a call that came in as a stabbing, arrived at 45 Washington St., Apt. 5 to instead find the young man suffering from gunshot wounds. The man, whom police did not name, was taken to Salem Hospital for treatment. Other than to say the shooting doesn't appear to have been random, police are staying tight-lipped. This is the second shooting on Washington Street this year. A man was shot in the leg in an incident at 197 Washington St. on Jan. 3. Police have a suspect in that attack.
