Peabody Man Nabbed for Armed Robbery at Supermarket Pharmacy

A 56-year-old Peabody man was arrested Sunday for robbing the pharmacy inside Hannaford's for prescription drugs.

Police arrested a 56-year-old Peabody man Sunday afternoon after he allegedly robbed the pharmacy inside Hannaford's Supermarket and threatened the pharmacist that he was armed. The pharmacist told police the man demanded prescription drugs. Steven M. Sharry, of 2 Hoover Ave., Peabody, was charged with armed robbery with a firearm when arrested by police at his home. Police said Sharry walked into the pharmacy shop around 1:30 p.m. and told the female employee he had a .45 caliber handgun while demanding she give him Adderall and Tussionex. She handed over the drugs in a bag and Sharry then ordered her to get down on the floor for five minutes while he escaped. At no time did Sharry actually show a handgun, but kept his hand in his pocket…
