The Marblehead High Magicians boys lacrosse team were in control from the beginning of their game Thursday afternoon against the Peabody High Tanners. Despite efforts by the Tanners boys lacrosse team to catch up to Marblehead High, the Magicians paced themselves to an 8-5 win at Peabody High. Two days after losing a heartbreaker to Swampscott High at home, the Peabody High Boys lacrosse team was looking to bounce back on Saturday over Danvers High, but the Falcons had other ideas. This time instead of losing 11-10 in overtime, the Tanners lost to Swampscott High, 13-12 beyond regulation in another close, but crushing defeat. Marblehead High School's boys' lacrosse team found no trouble finding the back of the net Monday afternoon as they rolled to a convincing 14-8 win over the Peabody Tanners at home. It was a physical game from start to finish and although Peabody High jumped out to an early 2-1 lead in the first ten minutes, once Marblehead got their offensive wheels spinning they never looked back. After going down early, the Magicians relied on their offensive firepower and scored eight of the game's next ten goals to bring a comfortable 11-4 lead into end of the third quarter. The Peabody Lady Tanners Lacrosse team knew they would have to work hard to compete against the Danvers Falcons on Friday afternoon at Peabody High School. But despite their best efforts, the Falcons' offensive attack proved too much for the Lady Tanners' defense. Peabody High fell to Danvers High, 18-6.
