Police Say Couple Left Holiday Party Drunk, Then Crashed Car With Child Inside
Peabody couple facing string of charges, including drunk driving, endangering a child and assaulting a police officer, after the car they were driving crashed into a pole shortly before 1 a.m. on New Year's Day.
Authorities say a Peabody couple out at a relative's house with their young daughter for a New Year's celebration left that party intoxicated and then smashed their Honda Accord into a utility pole down the street from their apartment. And to top it off, the man attacked a Peabody officer who responded to the crash scene on Perkins Street after a call came in at 12:42 a.m. Ronald A. Dominguez, 34, of 5 Tanners Ct., Peabody, was arrested for assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and on a warrant for failure to appear in court on another case.
