Here's our round up of the area's latest food news: Watch out, when you go through Peabody. You might get hit by one of the yogurt shops that seems to be sprouting up everywhere. In the Witch City, new restaurants are going in on the same corner at Essex and Washington. Already open is Naumkeag Ordinary, a pub that's opened in the previous Cafe Polonia spot. A warm-looking bar greets you as you come in. Round the corner and you'll see the renovations underway at the old A Taste of Thyme. That spot will reopen as Medusa's Cafe. Here's our round up of the area's latest food news: In Puritan-haunted Massachusetts, I expect restrictive liquor laws. But the last thing I expect is for one of those highly-restricted liquor licenses to be available at such a steal. In Peabody, city officials are offering one at the bargain-basement price of $2,250 after reclaiming the license in a long legal battle with a local developer. Full liquor licenses usually fetch anywhere from $100,000-200,000 in the Tanner City.
