Fundraiser Feb. 1 for Peabody woman with genetic disease now battling aggressive brain tumor.

[The following press release was submitted by Neurofibromatosis, Inc., Northeast.] In spite of being born with a genetic disease called neurofibromatosis (NF), Peabody resident Erin Dawson finished college and landed her dream job at Endicott College with campus security. Several months ago 25-year-old Erin’s reality was shattered when she was diagnosed with a glioblastoma, an aggressive malignant brain tumor that is more prevalent in people with NF. Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a neurological genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow anywhere along the body’s nerves at any time.
