OBITUARY: Ellen (Carlin) Endslow

Peabody native, longtime teacher and musical director Ellen Endslow died Sept. 10 after a brief illness. She was 64.

[The following obituary is courtesy of Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home.] Ellen Frances (Carlin) Endslow, 64, a beloved wife, sister, aunt, teacher, mentor and friend, passed away suddenly after a brief illness on Sept. 10, 2012 at Union Hospital in Lynn. Born on Feb. 23, 1948 in Salem, and raised in Peabody, Mrs. Endslow was the eldest daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Eagan) Carlin of Peabody. A 1965 Peabody High School graduate, Mrs. Endslow received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Salem State College and a master’s degree in creative arts in education from Lesley University. She taught in grades three through eight and directed more than 24 musicals during her 35-year tenure as a dedicated teacher in the …
