Beverly Hospital to Hold Public Walk-In Flu Clinic

Limited supply flu vaccine clinic open to public on Sunday, Jan. 20, from 9 a.m. til noon.

In response to the recent rise in the number of influenza cases, Beverly Hospital, a member of Lahey Health, is running a limited supply flu vaccine clinic on Sunday, Jan. 20, from 9 a.m. to noon. The flu clinic will be held in the main entrance of Beverly Hospital. The clinic is open to members of the public ages 18-64. You do not need to be a Beverly Hospital patient to receive a flu vaccine. Lahey Clinic Merging With Beverly Hospital, Northeast Health System

The Lahey Clinic Foundation and Northeast Health System, which operates Beverly Hospital and other area medical facilities, are merging to form a new healthcare network.

Northeast Health System and the Lahey Clinic Foundation announced on Tuesday that Beverly Hospital and the six other medical facilities operated by NHS will be merging with Lahey to create a new hospital network stretching across the northeastern part of Massachusetts. Lahey, which is headquartered in Burlington and also operates a recently expanded hospital in Peabody, is not absorbing NHS, instead a new healthcare organization is being formed. Lahey is a highly regard teaching hospital of Tufts University. The new entity will be called Lahey Health System and led by Howard Grant, JD, MD, as President and CEO — Grant is the current CEO of the Lahey Clinic Foundation.
