This is just a helpful hint to make you aware that the amount of Social Security tax withheld from your paychecks has increased from 4.2 percent to 6.2 percent, starting on Jan. 1, 2013. Unfortunately that means that your paychecks will be smaller in the New Year, so you may want to plan accordingly.
