Beware of the New Tax Return Scam

The scammers have been calling individuals claiming to be from the IRS, they provide a fake name and a fake IRS badge number. The scammers claim that you owe an additional tax on your 2013 tax return. The scammers will threaten you with various claims such as going to jail. The IRS will typically contact taxpayers via regular mail for the first correspondence.
