Summer Concert Series Starts Sunday With Beantown Swing

The Beantown Swing Orchestra kicks off the city's summer concert series July 14 at the Leather City Common (6-8 p.m.).

Peabody’s 21st annual summer concert series kicks off this Sunday per usual with the Beantown Swing Orchestra and a former American Idol contestant.

Season 3 finalist John Stevens returns along with the orchestra to the Leather City Common July 14. The concert will be held from 6-8 p.m. In case of adverse weather, the venue will be changed to Wiggin Auditorium in City Hall.

All concerts this summer will be held at the same time and location on the following schedule:

  • Sunday, July 21 – North Shore Acappella
  • Sunday, July 28 – Horizon and the Horns
  • Sunday, Aug. 4 – Britannica
  • Sunday, Aug. 11 – The Carrtunes
  • Sunday, Aug. 18 – Lee Hawkins Band

Free parking is available in the Railroad Avenue municipal lot next to the courthouse. 

Admission is free and concerts are open to the public. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy. For more information, call the mayor’s office at 978-538-5704.
