Peabody Teams Kick Off MIAA Tournaments This Week

Peabody girls basketball and two Bishop Fenwick teams are in the tournament.

Peabody Veterans Memorial High School girls basketball as well as two hoops teams from Bishop Fenwick are in the MIAA tournament.

Girls basketball

PVMHS girls basketball will take on Reading at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Peabody in the Division 1 North tournament.

The winner will play second-seeded Central Catholic at 7 p.m. Saturday at Central Catholic.

Peabody is the number 7 seed after a 15-5 season. Reading is the number 10 seed following a 10-10 season.

Meanwhile, Bishop Fenwick will open its Division 3 North title run with a game against Lynnfield at 7 p.m. Saturday at Lynnfield.

Bishop Fenwick is the number 5 seed after a 12-7 season. Lynnfeild is the number 4 seed following a 16-4 season.

 

Boys basketball

Bishop Fenwick takes on Mystic Valley at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Mystic Valley.

The winner will play Hamilton-Wenham, the second seed in the Division 4 North tournament.

Bishop Fenwick is the number 10 seed after a 10-10 season. Mystic Valley is the number 7 seed following a 13-7 season.
