Peabody Softball 12-Year-Olds Place Second in State Finals

The Peabody girls fell to Charlton on Sunday, 14 to 6.

The 12-year-old Peabody softball team made a solid effort for the state title against Charlton on Sunday but ended up in second place, according to an article in the Lynn Item

With Peabody winning on Saturday and Charlton coming out victorious on Friday, Sunday's game was the tie-breaker. Charlton came out ahead, 14-6. 

"It was a great accomplishment to get there," said Peabody manager Keith LeBlanc. "It was only the third year of fast-pitch softball in Peabody. Last year, we won the district championship. This year, we went a little bit further, the state finals. Maybe next year?"
