Peabody Senior Babe Ruth Takes Northeast Championship

The Senior Babe Ruth team from Peabody took down Hamilton-Wenham in a best of three competition.

For the first time since the beginning of the 2000s, the Peabody Tanners snatched the Northeast Senior Babe Ruth League title against Hamilton-Wenham. 

With three runs by Hamilton-Wenham in the beginning, the Tanners quickly shot back and eventually took down their opponents 9-3. This was the second game in a best of three tournament. 

“I’ve been waiting a long time for this. We went to the championships but lost twice in three years and then we lost last year in the semis to Swampscott,” said Peabody manager Joe Spuglio.
