Peabody Girls' Basketball Ekes Out OT Win

A buzzer beating three-pointer by Alexandra Lomasney sent Peabody to overtime and a win over Beverly.

The Lady Tanners went 2-0 Friday night after defeating Beverly in the Garden City.

Peabody came back from a growing deficit late in the fourth quarter to push the game into overtime on a three-pointer at the buzzer by Alexandra Lomasney. The Peabody girls then held onto the lead at the end of OT, 53-51 -- .

Peabody plays at Lynn Classical Tuesday (7 p.m.) then hosts Lynn English on Friday (7 p.m.).
