A Massachusetts woman allegedly phoned in two bomb threats just before a Quinnipiac University graduation ceremony on Sunday because she didn't tell her family she wasn't graduating from the Connecticut institution.

According to reports, Danielle Shea, 22, of Quincy, Mass., did not tell her family — who traveled to Hamden for the May 18 ceremony — that she had not been attending the school and wasn't going to graduate, even though her mother paid thousands of dollars she thought was for her daughter's education, according to an Associated Press report in tribtown.com.

Shea is accused of making two calls to the university's public safety department minutes before the 6 p.m. ceremony. According to today.com, Shea claimed there was a bomb in the library.

The threats delayed the commencement ceremony for the College of Arts and Sciences for 90 minutes, according to a university spokesman.

Shea is being held on $20,000 bond on charges of first-degree threatening and falsely reporting an incident. She's scheduled to appear May 30 in Meriden Superior Court.
