Peabody Public Schools Closed for Tuesday
Schools in Peabody will stay closed tomorrow as the cleanup from Sandy begins.
Superintendent of Schools Joe Mastrocola announced shortly before 8:30 p.m. there would be no school in Peabody on Tuesday as well.
School was canceled already on Monday in anticipation of Hurricane Sandy, and now even though it appears the worst of Sandy may have passed through the Peabody area, the outlook for Tuesday is still stormy and there's a lot of cleaning up to do.
St. John the Baptist School and Bishop Fenwick High School likewise announced tonight that school would be canceled tomorrow for the same reasons.
