Deputy Education Commissioner Ingram Joins Peabody Administrators for Summit

Superintendent Joseph Mastrocola convened a two-day administrative leadership summit August 21 and 22 at the to help principals and other key personnel prepare for the 2012-2013 school year.

“This was a great opportunity for us to get together and really fine tune our mission and the goals that we have for the year ahead,” Mastrocola said. “As a new superintendent, I think forums like these are critical to establishing an open and inclusive dialogue with the members of my leadership team. Good communication helps us stay focused on what’s most important as administrators – creating an optimal learning environment for Peabody students.”

The summit included presentations on a variety of topics by Mastrocola, new Assistant Superintendent Cara Murtagh, Director of Athletics Phil Sheridan, Assistant City Solicitor Donald Conn, and the state’s Deputy Commissioner of Education Alan Ingram, among others.

“We covered a great deal of information over the course of the two days,” Mastrocola said. “I’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback from the team and I think we’re well prepared for the year ahead.”
